COVE 

It was a Joey Beltram mix tape that got martin into electronic music. He stumbled upon the tape at the back of a school coach in the late 90's, His first dance floor experience was in Tenerife with DJ Paul Oakenfold at the helm. The experience blew him away. It wasn't until he moved to Manchester that he bought his first pair of technic 1210's. Learning how to mix records with progressive house from the likes of Hooj Choons & Bedrock Records. Although he loved the club scene, he found himself playing more melodic and funky house & deep house in bars across the city. He even played restaurants - creating an evolving ambience, sometimes up to 6 hours at a time. After moving to the Isle of Wight in 2004, he won the Isle of Wight Radio DJ competition at the Balcony night club and went on the warm up for The Freemason's & Shapeshifters. Later he was a Bestival DJ competition finalist. Laid back vibes were spun up at Northwood House for Cowes week along with balearic sets at at The Dell on Appley Beach in Ryde. In 2014 he was asked to play the beach stage at Croatian festival Electric Elephant. This led to a guest slot in Milan Italy where his mixes of emotive house was the ideal backdrop to an art instillation about the ocean and a subsequent party. Martin became resident DJ @ The Hut restaurant in Colwell Bay over four seasons. His laid back vibes mixed with soulful house, jazzed up house and 80's edits were popular. In 2013 he started his house label - Wight Label Records which has seen a number of quality releases, some of which are of his own original works. His biggest sets to date have been in the Bollywood tent at Bestival UK & on the beach stage at Bestival Totonto 2015 & 2016. Martin in fact appeared at several Bestival's in the UK with a favourite set of his in the little tree. Martin also appeared at Moovin Festival Manchester. Most recently he has carved out a new vibe as COVE. a COVE of sound is a melodic and organic house journey which suits day parties or those looking for non commercial house and is in the vein of labels All Day I Dream & Songuara. He now has a residency with his show kindred at New York radio station Frisky Radio every 1st Monday of the month at 10pm GMT. New original organic house tracks are in the making so keep an ear out!
